The image in the background is not a newly-discovered jade-coloured planet. It is in fact Earth’s South Pole under a stunning Aurora Borealis. How cool is that?
I am Uranus, the seventh planet from the Sun and third-largest after Jupiter and Saturn. I am classified as an Ice Giant and owe my blue colour to the methane found in my atmosphere.
My first images were taken by Voyager II in 1986. I have 27 moons and 13 known rings. I am a bit of an oddball as I rotate at an angle of 98 degrees, so I’m practically on my side all the time. Ugh!
Remember to hover over the egg to reveal the true colours of Uranus and tick the box on your Galactic Checklist!
